Das \u00f6stlich von Papua-Neuguinea gelegene K\u00f6nigreich der Salomon-Inseln besteht aus tausend Inseln und Inselchen, die ein entstandenes Territorium darstellen, das kaum gr\u00f6sser ist als die Schweiz.<\/p> \r\n \r\n

In den letzten Jahren haben kleine famili\u00e4re Kakaofarmen allm\u00e4hlich die grossen \u00d6lpalmenplantagen ersetzt. Obwohl salomonischer Kakao noch wenig bekannt ist, hat er sich als seltener und subtiler Sortenkomplex etabliert.<\/p> \r\n \r\n

Die Kakaoplantage von David Junior Kebu befindet sich im Nordosten der Insel Guadalcanal, in der N\u00e4he der Stadt Honiara. Der am Ufer des Flusses Matepono gelegene Familienbetrieb zeichnet sich durch die Qualit\u00e4t der Sorgfalt bei der Fermentierung, Trocknung und Auswahl der Bohnen aus.
